Your body’s hormones play a powerful role in hunger, cravings, energy, and weight management. If you’ve ever wondered why you:
-Crave sugar when you’re stressed
-Feel exhausted even after eating
-Struggle to lose weight despite dieting

It could be your hormones at work! Here’s what you need to know:
-Insulin controls blood sugar and fat storage.
-Cortisol (the stress hormone) can trigger cravings and cause fat to be stored in the belly.
-Ghrelin tells you when you’re hungry, while leptin tells you when you’re full
—but sleep and stress can throw these off balance.

What can you do?  Start small.
Pick one thing to focus on at a time, then when you feel good about that, pick another.

Eat balanced meals with protein, healthy fats, and fiber.
Starting point: Aim for 20-30grams of protein + 5-8 grams of fiber 3 times a day

Manage stress to keep cortisol in check.
Starting point: Walk for 10 minutes in the middle of  your work day- away from the office. Or sit in a quite place and allow  yourself to disconnect for 10 minutes.

Get quality sleep to help regulate hunger hormones.
Starting point: No phone or TV for 30-60 minutes before bed time. Let your brain start to calm before you lay down.  Develop a nighttime routine

Your body is always working to keep you balanced. Support your hormones through good nutrition, rest, and stress management, and you’ll start seeing better results!
